Khammam: TDP National President and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday attended the marriage of Aswaraopeta MLA Mecha Nageswara Rao's son at a private function hall in Gangaram village near Sathupalli town in Khammam district. The TDP chief reached Gangaram village by 12.40 in the afternoon by road from Vijayawada on a bus along with Telangana TDP president L Ramana.

He blessed newly married couple and also conveyed wishes to Nageswara Rao. He spent almost 40 minutes there after finishing lunch and returned to Vijayawada by road. Party leaders, workers and locals, who reached in thousands raised slogans of 'CM Zindabad.' It became difficult task for local police and Naidu's personnel security staff to manage party functionaries, who tried to meet him. Chandrababu has enthused party cadre by smiling continuously and waving hands towards them in the function hall. Even, Nandamuri Harikrishna's daughter Suhasini also attended the marriage. Nageswara Rao is the only MLA elected from the TDP in Telangana and he did not join in any party despite offers from the ruling and other political parties. Speaking to The Hans India, the MLA expressed his happiness over Naidu attending his son's marriage.
