Kakatiya Medical College gears up for Diamond Jubilee in Warangal
Warangal: The Kakatiya Medical College (KMC) is all geared up for its Diamond Jubilee, the college principal Dr Sunkaraneni Sandhya said, elaborating the details of the events to media persons here on Thursday.
"We are expecting at least 1,000 alumni to participate in the grandeur. As of today, we have more than 800 registrations from alumni members, who were settled in different parts of the globe.
The events include felicitation of some of our alumni and other distinguished personalities, who worked for the growth of the KMC," Sandhya said.
The chief guest on the first day of the two-day Diamond Jubilee that begins on Saturday (July 20) is Health Minister E Rajender. Minister for Panchayat Raj Errabelli Dayakar Rao would grace the valedictory ceremony, Dr Sandhya said.
"We have been organising programmes for the last one year in commemoration of the KMC's Diamond Jubilee," she said, referring to various programmes organised in the KMC and its allied hospitals – MGM Hospital, CKM Maternity Hospital, Regional Eye Hospital, Chest and TB Hospital and Government Maternity Hospital in Warangal and Hanamkonda. This apart, the KMC had also organised blood donation camps, she added. Swasthya Exhibition organised on the KMC campus had attracted 1.50 lakh visitors, she said. Alumni coordinator Dr Kali Prasad and other KMC staff were present at the briefing.
