Kollapur MLA distributes CMRF cheques worth Rs 13 lakh
Kollapur: Kollapur MLA Beeram Harshavardhan Reddy distributed Letter of Consent (LOC) worth Rs 13.2 lakh under the Chief Minister's Relief Fund (CMRF) scheme to as many as five persons from different villages, at his residence on Sunday.
Major beneficiary among those was M Ramakrishna from Veepanagandla mandal of Wanaparthy district who received LOC of Rs 6 lakh.
Recently Ramakrishna's wife had given birth to twin girl children and both of them were in serious condition and undergoing treatment at Rainbow hospital in Hyderabad. Given the poor financial condition, Ramakrishna approached the MLA, who had urged the Chief Minister to extend the financial aid to save the twin infants.
The second major beneficiary was M D Rukmuddin from Pentalvelli village of Kollapur. Earlier, Rukmuddin had received Rs 3.5 lakh from CMRF, as this amount was not enough to meet the healthcare expenses, with the help of Kollapur MLA, another Rs 4 lakh have been sanctioned to meet the medical expenses of Rukmuddin.
The MLA handed over the LOC to Rukumiddin's family members on Sunday. Apart from these two, M Mahesh S/O Balawamy from Chukkaipally village of Kollapur mandal received LOC of Rs 2.5 lakh, while V Balaraju S/O Singoti from Chandrakal village of Peddakottapally mandal also received LOC to help aid his healthcare expenses.
While speaking on the occasion, the Kollapur MLA said "Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is generous to grant more than Rs 13 lakh to various ailing poor patients in Kollapur."
