Komati promises to bring railway line connecting Hyderabad with Amaravati
Chityal (Nalgonda): Bhongir MP-elect Komatireddy Venkat Reddy stated that along with Nalgonda MP-elect Uttam Kumar Reddy, he would put out all his efforts for bringing in a railway line between State capital Hyderabad to AP capital Amaravati along the NH-65 for the convenience of people of erstwhile Nalgonda district.
Addressing the media at Nereda village of Chityal mandal in the district on Wednesday, Komatireddy criticised Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao over his step-motherly attitude towards the pending projects in erstwhile Nalgonda district, including SLBC tunnel project and Brahmana Vellemla Lift Irrigation Scheme, designed to provide the drinking and irrigation waters to fluoride-hit and drought-prone areas of the region.
Stating that he would mount pressure on State government for completion of projects, Komatireddy demanded the State government to immediately release Rs 300 crore for finishing the remaining 5 per cent works of Brahmana Vellemla Lift Irrigation scheme intended to provide irrigation facility to 1 lakh acres and drinking water in fluoride-hit seven mandals of the district.
Mocking at defected MLA Chirumathi Lingiaiah for his opportunistic politics, Komatireddy said Congress was an age-old party and would get its lost image in a short span both at the Centre and in the State.
He thanked Nakrekal constituency voters for their overwhelming support to the Congress party in recent MP elections. He assured the people of Bhongir that he would fulfill all his poll promises during his tenure.
Party Nalgonda constituency leader Dubbaka Narsimha Reddy and local leaders attended the press meet.
