BJP's top leader in Telangana quits, likely to join Congress
BJP senior leader Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy resigned from the party. The senior leader is likely to join Congress in the presence of AICC senior leader Rahul Gandhi in a day or two.
In a press statement, Rajagopal Reddy said that he fought against the BRS government in Congress before joining the BJP. He also exposed Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao's misdeeds as a BJP leader . He registered a moral victory against the KCR government from the Munugodu Assembly Constituency despite the ruling party won by a slender majority.
Rajagopal Reddy said that his main objective is to dethrone KCR from power in the upcoming Assembly elections in Telangana state.
Sources said that Congress High command is ready to allot party ticket to Rajagopal to contest from Munugodu from where he was elected MLA in 2018 assembly election. He quit the MLA post and joined BJP. He unsuccessfully contested in the by election.
