Komatireddy Venkat Reddy has responded regarding Rajagopal Reddy's decision to join the Congress. Venkat Reddy stated that he was not informed about Rajagopal's inclusion and emphasized that the final decision rests with the Congress president. He further added that the party's high command will handle the selection of candidates and their respective constituencies, and their decisions on ticket distribution are considered final.

Komati Reddy Rajagopal Reddy has resigned from the BJP and is scheduled to join the Congress party in the presence of Rahul Gandhi on the 27th of this month. It has been reported that he will contest from Munugodu constituency on behalf of the Congress party.

In a statement to the media following his resignation, Rajagopal Reddy expressed his ambition to free Telangana from the rule of Chief Minister KCR. He noted that there is strong opposition to the current government in the state, indicating a desire for change among the people. Rajagopal Reddy believes that the Congress party is now seen as a viable alternative to the ruling TRS.

Regarding his previous affiliation with the BJP, Rajagopal Reddy joined the party 15 months ago, believing that it had the power to challenge the corrupt regime. However, he resigned from the BJP as he felt that the party did not emerge as a strong alternative to the TRS. Rajagopal Reddy stated that despite switching from the BJP to the Congress, his goal remains the same – to end KCR's rule.

It is worth mentioning that Rajagopal Reddy was previously a Congress MLA from Manugodu but had resigned from the party and joined the BJP. He contested in the by-elections representing the BJP but was unsuccessful. He has been less active in the BJP since then, and he also stayed away from party functions. With approval from the Congress High Command, he will now rejoin the Congress party.
