Kothagudem: Farmer's body seeks better facilities in the district hospital, PHCs

Kothagudem: Seeking more facilities at the main hospital and all primary health centres in the district, Vyvasaya Karmika Sangham district president J Krishna, secretary M Venkateswarlu and other members submitted a memorandum to District Medical and Health Officer (DM&HO) Dr Bhaskar Naik here in his office on Tuesday.

Speaking to the media after giving the memorandum, they alleged that the government was not taking serious note of deaths caused due to viral fevers and added that no health camps were conducted in agency areas though many have been suffering from viral fevers like dengue, malaria and typhoid.

They demanded the officers concerned to immediately conduct health camps in tribal areas and also appoint enough number of employees in primary health centres that are facing staff crunch. At the main hospital, the duo leaders appealed to the hospital officials to set up enough platelet machines.

The DM&HO, after a patient hearing, promised to provide the needed facilities.

Leaders of the organisation R Srinivas, Naresh, Narasimha Rao, Biksham, Ravi, Satyanarayana, Muthaiah, Suresh, Ramkoti, and Sujatha attended the programme.
