Kothagudem: Left parties take out rally in support of RTC strike

Kothagudem: The left parties organised a massive rally in Kothagudem on Thursday in support of RTC strike. The party leaders of CPM, CPI, CPI (ML) participated in the rally and slammed Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.

Speaking on the occasion, CPM State secretary Tammineni Veerabhadram said that the Chief Minister was behaving like a dictator and had not taken any initiative to solve the issues of RTC workers though they have been on strike for the last 20 days.

Tammineni demanded the government to immediately call the RTC unions for talks and resolve the issues at the earliest as people of the State have been facing hardships due to the strike. Reiterating left parties support to RTC strike, Tammineni condemned the statements made by the Chief Minster with regard to strike.

The CPM leader urged the people to get ready for the Sakala Janula Samara Bheri programme on October 30 in Hyderabad.

Former MLA Gummadi Narasaiah, CPI (ML) State leader Rayala Chandrashekar and CPI district party secretary Bagam Hemanth Rao, condemned the policies of the State government. CPM, CPI Kothagudem district party secretaries A Kanakaiah, Shabeer Pasha, AJ Ramesh, B Ramesh and other leaders attended the programme.

A large number of party workers took part in the rally and raised anti-government slogans.
