Kothagudem: Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar says Every farmer should follow crop regulation policy

Kothagudem: Regulated crop policy is more useful to farmers, stated Minister for Transport Puvvada Ajay Kumar at a review meeting here on Tuesday.

Addressing at the officials of agriculture, civil supplies, irrigation, marketing and other departments, the Minister said farmers will not incur losses if they cultivate corps as per the suggestions given by the State government. He explained the new agricultural policy of the government and said Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is focussing more on agricultural sector and planning to develop the farmers financially across the State.

The Minister called upon the Rythu Bandhu scheme coordinators and agricultural officers to create awareness to the all the farmers on the new agricultural system. The officials were also directed to conduct rythu bandhu vedikalu in all areas to discuss the new agricultural system.

The district has planned to cultivate in 3,54,337 acres during monsoon under 377 revenue villages. Of this total area, paddy in 1,53,767 acres, red gram in 13,500 acres, cotton in 1,83,416 acres and green gram in 1,000 acres. District Collector Dr MV Reddy said that all farmers should follow the new regulated farming in the district.

MP Nama Nageswara Rao, MLAs Vanama Venkateswara Rao, Hari Priya and Ramulu Naik, ZP chairman K Kanakaiah, Rythu Bandhu district convenor Krishna Reddy, District Libraries Chairman D Rajender, Additional Collector K Venkateswarlu, District Agricultural Officer Abhimanyudu and other officers were attended the meeting.
