Kothagudem: SP Sunil Dutt asks contractors not to collect funds for Maoists

Kothagudem: District Superintendent of Police Sunil Dutt on Friday asked the businessmen and contractors not to indulge in illegal collection of money on behalf of Maoists in the district, especially those who are residing in the Agency villages. The SP said that contractors can seek police protection if Maoists force them to collect funds.

Speaking to media here, he said the Maoists are sending letters to the businessmen and sand contractors in the agency villages and blackmailing them for collection of funds.

He explained that the Maoist leaders like Haribhushan, Sarada, Azad and Ravi have formed their own groups and collecting the money from the business persons and contractors in the agency areas.

He made an appeal to them to give information to the police so that action can be taken against Maoist leaders.
