KTR appeals to Kishan Reddy for defence lands in Hyderabad for development
Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao on Saturday made a request to the Union Minister of State for Home G. Kishan Reddy to continue the handing over of defence lands in Hyderabad to take up the developmental works.
"The state government has had plans to construct flyover at Rasoolpura and sought defence lands. Also, people were aspiring for land pattas in Secunderabad Cantonment Board limits and if the land was allotted, the government will take up the double bedroom housing project," he said.
The minister on Saturday inaugurated 126 double bedroom houses at Lambada Thanda in Baghlingampally and said the government would cancel the pattas of beneficiaries if found selling and renting the houses. "The government has spent Rs 9 lakh for the construction of each house, the market value of the same will be around Rs 40 to 50 lakh," Rama Rao said.
The Minister also laid the foundation for the construction of a new Zonal office building at Domalguda, a model market at the vegetable market premises in Narayanguda and a sports complex at Adikmet.
He also urged the political parties to set aside ideological differences and strive for the welfare of the poor.
Union Minister of State for Home G. Kishan Reddy who also took part in the inaugural events said the State Government should make sure the provision of housing for poor making the city slum-free.
