Hyderabad: Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) working president K T Rama Rao on Thursday challenged the BJP leaders to win at least three Lok Sabha seats from Telangana as the saffron party is claiming to win 300 seats in the country.

Addressing a gathering of leaders from the Congress party who joined the TRS at Telangana Bhavan on Thursday, Rama Rao said, "the BJP leaders were talking big. The BJP leaders are claiming that they will get 300 seats in the country.

They should win at least three seats from Telangana." He stated that the BJP had to face embarrassment even during the GHMC and Assembly elections. He alleged that the BJP candidate from Karimnagar was trying to incite communal hatred.

Rama Rao said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi came to Telangana but could not spell out what he has done for the people.

He alleged Modi had nothing to show about his performance hence he was talking Hindu-Muslim and India Pakistan. Whereas, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was asking the people to vote for him based on his performance during the last five years.

The TRS leader said that K Chandrashekar Rao will strive hard for taking the country forward if he has 16 MPs with him.

"Few are asking what KCR will do with 16 MPs. They should remember that Pandavas were only five and they won the war. The Chief Minister has already said he was not interested in the post of Prime Minister," Rama Rao added.
