KTR gives wings to ex-serviceman daughter's dream of becoming pilot
Hyderabad: TRS working president KT Rama Rao on the occasion of Independence Day extended financial assistance to an ex-serviceman's daughter for pursuing higher studies in pilot training.
KTR presented a cheque towards admission fee for Maha Lakshmi, daughter of an ex-serviceman Veerabhadra Chari, to join Telangana Aviation Academy to become a pilot.
On August 10, Veerabhadra Chari approached TRS working president on Twitter seeking financial assistance for his daughter Maha Lakshmi's pilot training. Responding to the tweet, KTR said, "Chary Garu, the valour and courage of a soldier like you is invaluable... will do my best to assist you."
Veerabhadra Chari along with his daughter Maha Lakshmi met KTR during Independence Day celebration programme at Telangana Bhavan in the city on Thursday.
After handing over the cheque to Veerabhadra Chari, KTR shared his picture with the father-daughter duo on his twitter account and said, "What better way to celebrate the Independence Day than to help an Indian soldier's family with the help of a friend (who wants to be private/anonymous), was able to help fund Veerabhadra Chari's daughter get into TS Aviation Academy."
