KTR Hails Siricilla Weavers For Restarting Making Of Bathukamma Sarees
Hyderabad: Telangana Minister for Municipal Administration, Urban Development, Industry and Commerce and Information Technology, as also Siricilla MLA, K Tarakarama Rao popularly known as KTR, on Tuesday, hailed the contribution of weavers from the Siricilla region who recommenced weaving of Bathukamma sarees. Taking to the popular microblogging site Twitter, KTR observed that he was proud of his talented brothers and sisters from Siricilla who have restarted the production of Bathukamma sarees.
KTR in his tweet added that as a local MLA his aim is to make the weavers' products, sarees, among other things, a brand to reckon with. The Telangana Minister added that The Textile Park as also the Apparel Park will prove to be the key in turning this into a reality.
KTR concluded his tweet with a hashtag reflecting his government's resolve to fight COVID-19 in Telangana:
