Telangana IT Minister KT Rama Rao

Minister KT Rama Rao hit back at MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi for his remarks against the former Prime Minister V Narasimha Rao and former chief minister of erstwhile Andhra Pradesh NT Rama Rao. Akbaruddin termed memorials of the two leaders as encroachments on Hussain Sagar and demanded the government to remove them.

Akbaruddin said that Hussain Sagar lake was shrunk to 700 acres at present from the original 4,700 acres due to the encroachments referring to the government's decision of removing illegal structures on tanks and nalas in the city.

Taking to his Twitter handle, the minister said that both PV Narasimha Rao and NT Rama Rao were the pride of Telugu people. "We strongly condemn these remarks. Any derogatory remarks to belittle the contribution of these two leaders are dishonourable and have no place in a democracy," he tweeted.

Akbaruddin took a dig at the TRS party during the election campaign in support to his party election in GHMC election.
