KTR launches OnePlus R&D centre in Hyderabad
TRS working president KT Rama Rao has launched the Chinese handset manufacturer OnePlus research and development centre here at Nanakramguda in Hyderabad. The centre has plans to invest Rs 1000 crore in the next three years in facility and software development
Speaking on the occasion, Pete Lau, founder and CEO, OnePlus said that they are planning to develop the R&D centre largest globally by re-focusing on R&D efforts. "The centre will focus on the significance of Artificial Intelligence, 5G and IoT," he added.
KTR took to his Twitter handle and said that "OnePlus setting up its first R&D centre in India in Hyderabad and planning to grow this into its biggest globally is a testimony to the fact
that Hyderabad has emerged as a preferred destination for leading companies working on cutting edge technologies."

The R&D centre houses three labs -- Camera, Communications and networking and automation.
