KTR launches sixth phase of Haritha Haram in Hyderabad

KT Rama Rao kickstarted the sixth phase of Telanganaku Haritha Haram programme today by planting a sapling at GHMC park in Bhoiguda.
Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao kickstarted the sixth phase of Telanganaku Haritha Haram programme today by planting a sapling at GHMC park in Bhoiguda.

The sixth phase of Haritha Haram is aimed to plant 29.86 crore saplings during the monsoon across the state including 3.59 crore saplings under forest cover. Around 21.16 crore saplings have been raised in the nurseries of GHMC, HMDA, Panchayat Raj and Rural Development department. And currently, 24.74 saplings are available for planting under the programme.

KT Rama Rao along with the minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav and Mayor Bonthu Rammohan also inaugurated a theme park for children that was renovated with Rs 20 lakh. Later, the minister congratulated the residents on the inauguration of the new park.

In Suryapet, minister Jagadish Reddy planted a sapling at ward no.9 in NTR colony taking part in the programme. While in Mahabubabad, minister Satyavati Rathod launched the programme by planting a sapling in Maripeda municipality.
