KTR offers prayers, says Kaleshwaram dream project of KCR
Sircilla: Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) working president K T Rama Rao on Friday said the world's largest Kaleshwaram project would provide assured water for irrigation in the State.
Sircilla MLA and TRS working president K T Rama Rao were participating in celebrations on the occasion of inauguration of Kaleshwaram project and offered prayers here at Narmala village of Gambirraopet mandal in Rajanna Sirclla district.
Speaking on the occasion, K T Rama Rao said Kaleshwaram is the dream project of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao. Keeping in view of water problems that may arise in near future, the Chief Minister with is foresight designed this wonderful project and completed it in record time of just three years, he added. There is more than one crore population in Hyderabad. The water problems of Hyderabad would also be solved with this project.
It is not easy to lift the water up to 618 meters above the sea level. Kaleshwaram is world's biggest lift irrigation project, he said. Water would be provided for about 45 lakh acres and it would supply drinking water, he said
District Collector D Krishna Bhaskar, Tescob Chairman K Ravinder, MLC P Srinivas Reddy, MLA Ch Ramesh Babu, Balka Suman, Farmers Coordination Committee Coordinator G Narasaiah, JC Yasmin Basha, DRO Bhima Nayak, RDO T Srinivas Reddy were present along with others.
