KTR pitches for action against guilty for Inter result goof-up
Hyderabad: Responding on the ongoing Intermediate results fiasco, TRS working president KT Rama Rao, on Sunday, said what happened was tragic and unfortunate and those responsible should be punished.
He said he as agonised as anyone else in the State over those developments. KTR interacted with netizens on Twitter using the hashtag (#AskKTRTRS).
" I am a parent too and I can understand the pain of those who have lost their children. Now that the committee appointed by the Telangana government has submitted its report, action should be taken," Rao said responding to a flood of tweets from users on this issue. KTR was all candid and witty with his responses while interacting with netizens in #AskKTR session.
During the two-hour long chat, KTR shared his thoughts on national politics and parties, touched on future plans for the development of the state and also utilised every opportunity to take on his political opponents.
He said that expressway from JBS to Hakimpet will be commenced as and when the government gets the Secunderabad Cantonment land that is required for the skyway.
When one Twitter user posted a query about Jawahar Nagar dumping yard, KTR replied, "Capping is being done now and then some more work to be done with the legacy dump."
A user from Malkajgiri wrote to KTR that he was not responding to his tweets asking about the pending RuB project at East Anandbagh.
Expressing apologies, KTR said that Arvind Kumar, the Principal Secretary (Municipal Administration and Urban Development) would provide an update on the issue.
When asked about setting up of turmeric board in Nizamabad, he stated that TRS shall strive for the turmeric board with hopefully a friendlier new dispensation soon in Delhi.
Responding to a question about parliament election results, KTR said, "I believe we will win 16 Lok Sabha seats."
Commenting on corruption in municipal offices, he said, "We are going to make a sincere attempt by way of the new municipal act."
Talking about resolving water issues in South Telangana, KTR said, "Palamuru lift irrigation project is a top priority.
It will help irrigate parched areas of Mahabubnagar, Ranga Reddy and parts of Nalgonda."
Replying to a tweet about the development plans of TRS government for the coming five years, KTR said, "Completing the irrigation projects, improving health and education standards and facilities, improving urban and rural infrastructure are our top priorities'.
In one of his replies, KTR said, "Previous NDA government did major injustice on the high-speed rail connectivity network front. Hopefully, that can be corrected by the next Government of India.
