KTR questions Modi's contribution to nation
Hyderabad: TRS working president K T Rama Rao said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was unable to tell what he has done during the last five years hence he was doing communal politics. Rama Rao was addressing a gathering of Munnuru Kapu leaders who pledged support to TRS at Telangana Bhavan.
KTR said that Narendra Modi has got promotion from "Chaiwala to Chowkidar". "We are Hindus whereas the BJP leaders are election Hindus and political Hindus. Just before the elections, the BJP leaders chant Ram Mandir. We don't want temple-mosque issues but people's issues are important," said KTR.
The TRS leader attacked Congress party stating that Rahul Gandhi says 'Garibi Hatao' even today. His grandparents gave the call of 'Garibi Hatao' and he is also taking up the same slogan.
KTR said that the TRS has to win 16 seats if people want to have a favourable government at the Centre. The Rythu Bandhu scheme brought by Chief Minister KCR has become inspiration for others and was being implemented in the country.
KTR assured the Munnuru Kapus to take their issue of starting separate corporation to the chief minister. He said that setting up of a corporation was not under his purview and added that he would take this to the chief minister.
He also promised to provide posts to the Munnuru Kapu leaders. There are nine MLAs belonging to Munnuru Kapus, he added.
