KTR sanctions Rs 1 Cr to Vemulawada temple

Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development, KT Rama Rao has sanctioned Rs 1 crore to Sri Rajarajeshwara Swamy temple in Vemulawada in order to hold 'Shivarchana' on Maha Shivaratri on February 20 and 21.

Newly elected municipal chairperson Ramatheerthapu Madhavi and vice-chairman Madhu Rajendar Sharma were directed by the minister to make Vemulawada a model municipality when they the latter at the Vemulawada MLA Chennamaneni Ramesh camp office on Friday.

The minister also promised to provide all the support for the development of Vemulawada town and the temple. Apart from sanctioning Rs 1 crore for the 'Shivarchana, KT Rama Rao also asked to make necessary arrangements for the Samakka and Saralamma jatara.

A meeting with the Vemulwada Temple Development Authority (VTDA) will be commenced soon by the MLA and the minister for the development of the town.
