KTR seeks support from party MLAs on 10 minutes programme
Hyderabad: Municipal Administration Minister KT Rama Rao on Sunday called upon the public representatives including MPs, MLAs, MLCs and others to support the government, which is ready with an effective action plan in fighting the seasonal diseases.
The minister wrote a letter to the public representatives on Sunday urging their support to the programme of the government of '10 minutes at 10 am every Sunday'. He appealed to the public representatives to actively take part in the programme and also encourage others to participate and ensure there is no problem with seasonal diseases like malaria, dengue, chikungunya.
"The coronavirus is affecting people across the world like never before. Government is fighting the Covid-19 with effective steps and with the support of the people. Because of the collective effort against this virus, there is some awareness on the individual cleanliness and this should continue even in the future," said Rama Rao. The minister recalled that the public recently participated in 'Pattana Pragathi' and focused on cleanliness. "We are experiencing diseases like malaria, chikungunya and others during every rainy season. The solution is in our hands and we need to take precautions for this by checking the premises in our houses every week for ten minutes," said Rao in the letter. It is for this reason the municipal department along with the health department has finalised a calendar and decided to take up disinfectant spraying, fogging etc. Apart from these, spraying of Sodium Hypochlorite would also be sprayed every week.
