Hyderabad: The responsibility to chalk out a strategy to trounce Congress nominee A Revanth Reddy in Malkajgiri Lok Sabha constituency has been entrusted to TRS working president K T Rama Rao. He is expected to do what TRS senior leader T Harish Rao did in Kodangal Assembly constituency by defeating Revanth Reddy.

The TRS working president will campaign intensively in the urban pockets under the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) limits to boost the prospects of the TRS candidates. While TRS president K Chandrashekar Rao will campaign in rural segments, KTR will concentrate in urban segments, according to sources.

But the Chief Minister is not expected to campaign in Secunderabad and Hyderabad Lok Sabha constituencies. He may hold a public meeting in Chevella, if need arises. He has decided to address two meetings in erstwhile districts and one at each Lok constituencies in other districts, TRS sources said.

Sources said the Chief Minister may hold two election meetings in Adilabad and Medak. The TRS is determined to win 16 out of 17 Lok Sabha seats. Hyderabad Lok Sabha seat is left to AIMIM.

In the recent Assembly elections, KTR and Harish Rao were given responsibility to ensure that Revanth Reddy was trounced in Kodangal Assembly constituency. Now, the TRS working president is entrusted with the responsibility of campaigning in Malkajgiri constituency from where the Congress fields Revanth Reddy.

It may be recalled that KTR had successfully led the party to historic victory in the GHMC elections by winning 99 out of the 150 divisions. He also successful led the party in several Assembly constituencies in the recent Assembly elections.
