KTR's balm for infant's medical woe

Hyderabad: A new-born baby, who was suffering with health complications, recovered fully after the financial aid of TRS working president K T Rama Rao. The baby was discharged from the hospital on Tuesday.

A poor couple from Rangaraopet in Jagtial District, Madhu and Sunitha Rani were blessed with a baby boy on May 8.

The doctors informed the parents that the child's large intestine was closed and suggested operation.

The child was admitted in a private hospital in Hyderabad and the doctors informed the parents that it would cost Rs 5 lakh for the operation. The parents took the help of social media and pleaded for financial help.

On the request from the parents, several organisations including The Nest Residential Welfare Association, Hydernagar, employees of Dr Reddy's Laboratories, Surender Foundation from Metpally gave a helping hand and provided Rs 1.5 lakh.

The parents approached KTRs office for the remaining money for operation of the child. Rama Rao instructed his office to take necessary steps.

He requested the Chief Minister's office to provide the remaining funds. The parents were provided Rs 2.5 lakh from the Chief Minister's Relief Fund and the boy was operated successfully.
