Kuchadri temple to be renovated soon
Jogipet: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) agreed to renovate the Sri Bhudevi Sametha Venkateshwara Swamy temple, which is located on the western outskirts of the Kuchanapalli village, on a hillock. It is locally called as 'Kuchadri'.
The centuries old temple, which is popular as northern Tirupati in the region is in dilapidated condition. The family members of Parvayyagari Narsimha Rao of Mansanpalli donated Rs 25 lakh for renovation. But, every time during the tender process, technical issues hampered the renovation works.
Member from the donor family M Venkateshwara Rao, former chairman of market committee Joginath wrote a letter to the TTD EO AK Singhal. Reacting to the communique, Singhal called them to the temple town. Both met the TTD EO on Monday.
They explained about the hurdles they have been facing in the renovation of the old temple. EO Singhal had a discussion with Chief Engineer Chandrasekhar Reddy and agreed to go ahead with the work.
Joginath and Venkateshwara Rao thanked both EO and CE for prompt response. They said they would launch the renovation works immediately with the help of MP BB Patil, MLA Kranthi Kiran, ZP Chairperson Manjusri Jayapal Reddy. Retired Tahsildar Srisail had also accompanied them.
