Large-scale graft in Telangana State: Tarun Chug

Update: 2021-03-11 00:35 IST

The BJP national general secretary alleges KCR govt is following a negative approach to scuttle Central welfare policies and has failed to deliver on all fronts. “People in Telangana are looking for a change. The BJP has offered them a promising and progressive change,” he says

Maheshwaram: National BJP general secretary Tarun Chugh on Wednesday alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was "deceiving" people in the State in the name of 'Bangaru Telangana' by indulging in large-scale corruption and "promoting" nepotism.

Addressing public meetings at Ibrahimpatnam and Maheshwaram, he claimed that Telangana was fed up with the politics of nepotism played by KCR in which his family members were indulging in rampant loot across the state.

Chugh said the KCR government was plagued with "inefficiency" and "corruption" as a result of which the State has not been able to get benefits of various welfare schemes and programmes initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

"Instead of running the State government honestly and sincerely, the KCR government has been promoting family members to loot the State. The administration completely collapsed, as we see in the State that people do not have even basic facilities of drinking water and power supply. Roads all over the State are in bad shape. Trade and industry have been facing an unprecedented crisis," said Chug.

The BJP leader pointed out that the KCR government has, in fact, been following a "negative" approach to scuttle the welfare policies of the Centre and has consequently failed to deliver on all fronts following which the people in Telangana were looking for a change. The BJP has offered them a promising and progressive change", he asserted.
