Law likely to reserve job for locals in industry says KTR

Hyderabad: Minister for Industries K T Rama Rao on Sunday said the State government would bring an act to provide jobs to locals in industries in the State.

Replying to discussions on the demands of his department in the Assembly, he said since it was a sensitive issue, it would be discussed in the State cabinet. If such an act is brought. there was a danger of losing industries to other States.

The Minister said the Pharma City of Hyderabad was a prestigious one and after establishment the county would not need another one. However, a few people have been opposing it. The industrial park was given all the permissions by the Centre and an MP from the State urged the Centre to stop it.

He said the Chief Minister has taken notice of the issue of pollution. All measures are being taken to ensure that there is no pollution in the Pharma City.
