Laxman demands govt to end RTC row at earliest in Khammam
Khammam: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) State unit president K Laxman has demanded that the State government find a solution to end the ongoing RTC strike. He told the TRS government led by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao not to play with the lives of thousands of workers by dragging the matter.
Without further delay immediate measures must be taken to find a solution to end the strike, he said. He laid foundation stone for the construction of BJP district headquarters building at Sri Sri Circle in Khammam on Friday. Speaking on the occasion, he said the delay in addressing the RTC strike was leading to deaths of RTC workers.
Laxman told the government to invite RTC JAC leaders for talks before any more workers take their lives. The BJP would stand by the RTC workers who were fighting for their legal rights, he said.
The BJP leader informed that the party was focusing on strengthening its cadre base in all the districts in Telangana. The party's membership drives in the past have received good response.
