Laxman rushes to Delhi, briefs Nadda on RTC stir

Hyderabad: Telangana BJP unit President K Laxman on Saturday called on party national Working President JP Nadda and submitted a memorandum to the latter requesting him to take initiative in resolving the RTC workers' demands.

After meeting RTC JAC Convener Ashwathama Reddy and Telangana Jana Samithi President M Kodandaram in Hyderabad, Laxman rushed to New Delhi on Saturday morning.

The Telangana BJP leader briefed Nadda the current state of affairs in Telangana after Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao announced the privatisation of RTC.

The BJP leader's visit to national capital also assumed political significance as the Chief Minister held cabinet meeting on the same day.

The State BJP President will meet BJP President and Union Home Minister Amit Shah and other senior leaders on Sunday. Laxman will brief the national leaders on the BJP's intensified fight against Telangana government on RTC workers' demands.

The issue of assault on BJP MP from Karimnagar B Sanjay by police will also figure in the meeting.
