AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi filed nomination on Monday for the Hyderabad Lok Sabha seat for the fourth time. The nomination process has begun today after the election commission issued election notification.

Owaisi submitted the papers to returning officer K Manicka Raj, the district collector of Hyderabad. He arrived the collector's office accompanying his party's leader and MLA Ahmed Pasha Kadri. "Alhamdulilah, filed my nomination papers today. Hyderabad Parliamentary Constituency has been the voice of India's impoverished, oppressed and weak. Inshallah, it will continue to be so," said Owaisi taking to his Twitter handle.

It is to be notified that AIMIM has a stronghold over the constituency for over three decades. His father Sultan Salahuddin Owaisi represented the constituency and was elected for six consecutive terms from 1984 to 2004.
