Hanamkonda: The composition of the State Cabinet clearly indicates that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is least bothered about the Madiga community, Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi (MRPS) founder-president Manda Krishna Madiga said.

Speaking to the media at the Press Club here on Wednesday, he said that even though Madigas constitute 12 per cent of Telangana population, the TRS government has no concern towards the community. KCR didn't even think of giving representation to at least one of the 11 Madiga MLAs in his Cabinet, he added.

"The population of Velamas and Reddys in the State is just 1 and 5 per cent, however, they had accounted for 10 Minister posts," Manda Krishna said, accusing KCR of suppressing and denying opportunities to Madigas.

Koppula Eshwar, who belongs to Mala, is the only mMnister from SC community. The MRPS would be more than happy if KCR makes him Deputy Chief Minister, Manda Krishna said. He demanded KCR to explain why he had not given representation to Madigas in his Cabinet.

'KCR made Station Ghanpur MLA Thatikonda Rajaiah Deputy Chief Minister and removed. The CM would have given a chance to Wardhannapet MLA Aroori Ramesh or Sathupally MLA Sandra Venkata Veeraiah,' he said.

He said that MRPS has decided to organise a protest before the Gram Panchayat and Tahsildars' offices on September 15 and 16 respectively. Thereafter, the MRPS will stage a dharna in Warangal on September 21, demanding justifiable representation in the State Cabinet.

Mahajana Socialist Party national spokesperson T Pradeep Goud, Velpula Suranna, T Laxman and A Pavan were among others present.
