Mahbubnagar: BJP jubilant over rise in vote share
Mahbubnagar: The Bharatiya Janata Party in Mahbubnagar has expressed satisfaction over its performance in the recently-concluded municipal elections in the district. Speaking at a programme, Padmaja Reddy, BJP district president along with senior BJP leader from Mahbubnagar Shantikumar, said that though the ruling TRS party had created many hurdles for the BJP in the district, the per cent of votes for BJP candidates in the district has remarkably increased when compared to other elections.
"The vote per cent of BJP in Mahbubnagar parliamentary constituency has increased considerably during the municipal elections. We will continue with the same spirit and by next elections, we will ensure that BJP emerges victorious," said the BJP district president.
Later, the BJP leaders felicitated the newly-elected party councillors and encouraged them to do best in their respective wards and ensure all-round development. District BJP chief secretary P Srinivas Reddy, vice-president of BJP, Mahbubnagar district Veerabrahmma Chary, Padakula Satyam, secretary Kistaiah Nayak, treasurer Krishnavardhan Reddy and others took part in the programme.
