Mahbubnagar: Follow principals of Ambedkar, youth urged
Mahbubnagar: Marking the 63rd death anniversary of Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar on Friday, Srinivas Goud, Minister for Excise and Tourism, said that Dr. Ambedkar was a great leader, who despite suffering discrimination based on caste and community, could reach to the highest position and became the architect of India's constitution.
"Particularly youth must take Ambedkar's life as a role model. There is nothing impossible in life. If one is determined and committed, he will sure achieve success. This is proven by Ambedkar, who despite facing many hurdles in life became the top leader in India," said the minister. Earlier, the minister along with Zilla Parishad (ZP) Chairperson Swarna Sudhakar Reddy, garlanded the statue of Ambedkar in Mahbubnagar district headquarters. In Gadwal district, local MLA Bandla Krishan Mohan Reddy along with ZPC Saritha has garlanded the statue of Ambedkar and offered prayers marking the 63rd death anniversary of Dr. Ambedkar.
Guevara Balaraju, Achampet MLA and the Government whip took part in the death anniversary celebrations in Achampet of Nagarkurnool district and remembered his contributions to the nation. He stated that his foresight to uplift the downtrodden societies have helped improve the lives of SCs and STs in the country. Balaraju termed Ambedkar as a great leader, who strived to remove social inequalities and who initiated social movements against discrimination of people on the name of caste and religion.
