Mahbubnagar: Nayimuddin Volleyball Tournament to begin from November 1

Mahbubnagar: The sports authorities in Mahbubnagar are gearing up for conducting the Nayimuddin Volleyball Tournament for Central government employees and leading sports personalities from national and State levels from November 1 at Zilla Parishad Grounds in Mahbubnagar.

Announcing this, Bhandari Shanthi Kumar, president of Kabaddi Association of erstwhile Mahbubnagar district, said that they were making arrangements to conduct the Nayimuddin Volleyball Memorial Tournament on a big scale. "We are planning to conduct the Nayimuddin Volleyball Tournament on par with any national tournament. We have started the preparation and ensuring that everything is put in place for the launch the tournament in the district," informed Bhandari Shanthi Kumar.

He informed that the inaugural session would be attended by District Collector Ronald Rose, while Minister Srinivas Goud would grace the valedictory. It is said that the tournament would witness sportspersons from Central government departments like Central Excise Department, Income Tax Department and sportspersons from various States.

The winners of the tournament would be given a cash prize of Rs 50,000, followed by Rs 30,000 for those who come second and Rs 20,000 for the team that stands third.
