Mahbubnagar: The Devarkadra police have arrested some of the BJP leaders who were on their way to Hyderabad to lay siege to the office Deputy General of Police, as a mark of protest against not arresting Assaduddin Owaisi for his derogatory remarks at a recent meeting in Nizamabad.
As soon as the police learnt about the moves of the local BJP leaders, they took the marching activists into their custody and binded them to the police station.
"We have arrested a few BJP activists who were planning to march to Hyderabad. In order to stop any kind of untoward incidents we have arrested them as a preventive measure," informed the Devarkadra police.
