The women cell members of Congress party from Wanaparthy also sat along with the RTC employees and raised slogans against the TRS party and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for his adamant attitude towards the RTC employees demands.

In Shandagar, the RTC JAC convenor Ashwathama Reddy took part in the protest programme organised by the employees of Shandagar division.

Speaking on the occasion, Reddy said that the RTC employees' demands were not something that the government cannot implement. He said they were demanding the government to implement those measures which were very much important to protect and sustain the Corporation.

"We expected that soon after formation of Telangana, we would get more jobs and the government would merge RTC and various other corporations with it as this would give more job security and would strengthen the transportation facilities in the State. However, what we have observed during the last 20 days is irresponsible attitude of the government. Leave alone the prospects of getting new jobs from the government, we fear the government will remove more than 50,000 employees from their jobs and bring their families onto the roads. At least now, the government should consider the RTC strike and come forward to resolve the issues amicably and help protect the RTC and provide better transportation facilities to the public," observed the RTC JAC convenor.

In Jadcherla mandal of Mahbubnagar, the Girijana students' organisation leaders sat on a protest supporting the RTC employees at Ambedkar Chowk and demanded the government to come down and immediately resolve their issues.

In Achampet, Narayanpet, Nagarkurnool and Mahbubnagar districts, the women RTC employees took up hunger strike and demanded the government to immediately come down to resolve their issues or else they would further intensify their strike.
