Mahbubnagar: The Telangana Non-Gazetted Officers Association ( TNGOs) of Mahbubnagar branch elected new members unanimously to the district executive body on Tuesday. The elected members to the TNGO district executive body include Rajive Reddy, president, Chandra Nayak, chief secretary and Kranti Kumar Goud, associate president.

Apart from these three leaders, another 16-member panel constituting the TNGO district committee were also elected unanimously. In fact, this time the members of Rajive Reddy panel were the only members who had filed their nominations. With the members led by earlier TNGO president Ramakrishna Rao had abstained from filing their nominations, the new TNGO body was elected sans any opposition.

In fact, there are more than 1,300 employees who come under the TNGO from various mandals like Balanagar, Mahbubnagar Urban, Jadcherla, Bhootpur, Devarkadra and Mahbubnagar Rural. However, of them, only 42 members have the eligibility for voting. "This time, only members representing the Rajive Reddy panal had filed their nominations for the TNGO elections. As there is no opposition, we have declared the newly-nominated members as unanimous winners," informed Narasimha Reddy, election officer for the TNGO elections.

It is said that the former TNGO president Rajender Reddy had played a key role in convincing Ramakrishna Rao, the outgoing TNGO president to not to file nominations for the TNGO elections and asked him to give clear way for the elections. As Ramakrishna Rao had agreed to it and as he abstained from the elections, all the members for the district body were declared elected unanimously.
