Mahbubnagar: Tribal youth gains international acclaim as a reputed psychologist

Mahbubnagar: A youth from a small tribal hamlet of Malloni Cheruvu Thanda of Lingala mandal in Nagarkurnool district has overcome all hurdles of poverty, social-economic deprivation and emerged as a renowned psychologists of International repute and has received many awards and rewards, and brought great name and fame not just to his parents but also to his village and to his district.

Dr Pathlavath Laxman, was born to a poor agriculture labour couple Kotamma and Vashya in the tribal hamlet of MC Thanda located near Nallamalla region in Lingala mandal. Laxman faced tough time during his childhood; he had seen his father and mother struggle to get a meal. They used to toil as labourers in agriculture fields and struggle hard. Laxman, elder among his siblings, used to help his parents and up to 6-years he did not even attend school.

However, Laxman who had been witness to all the hardships of his parents had decided right during his childhood that solution to all their problems lies only in education and joined an 'Asrama Patashala' in Appaipally village of Lingala mandal and studied up to 4th class. Later, he completed his higher education up to SSC at Lingala High School and reached Nagarkurnool district for studying his intermediate education.

However, Laxman had miserably failed at Intermediate level, but he did not lose heart and joined the British Academy and gained a stronghold on English. From thereon, Laxman did not look back and went on to study up to post graduation, Master of Philosophy, M Sc in Psychology and had even completed Counselling Psychotherapy. From there on he had completed his doctorate in Psychology.

He took his failures as stepping stones and today Dr Laxman has reached the pinnacle and has become a leading psychologist who motivated lakhs of students, software employees, trainee IAS officers.

Having taken training from renowned Psychologists like Vangapuri Srinadhachary, Srinivas Chary, Dr Nalluri Raghavarao and prominent psychologists BV Pattabhiram and Yandmoori Veerendranath, Dr Laxman had transformed himself into International level personal development expert.

During his 23 years as personal development expert Dr Laxman trained more than 54 thousand students to become spoken English experts.

At present, Dr Laxman has become a member of American psychological Association member and has been reckoned as the only Indian Psychologists to become the member of the International association. Dr Laxman had trained many government officials, software professionals from reputed companies like Mahindra, TVS. Wipro, Infosys and Tech Mahindra and helped them in their personality development.
