Mahbubnagar: Over 100 people from various parties joined the Bharatiya Janatha Party (BJP) in the presence of party district president Padmaja Reddy on Monday.

Most of the local leaders from Telugu Desam, the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi and the Congress from Ward Number 30 have switched their loyalties to the saffron party. Speaking on the occasion, the BJP district president said that people of Mahbubnagar district were fed up with the TRS government and its false promises. Particularly, the farmers and the locals from the urban areas have not got any kind of benefits through the government's welfare programmes. Not a single poor person in the district has received the double bedroom house till date.

"TRS government is fooling the public by making false promises. The farmers were told their agriculture loans worth Rs 1 lakh would be waived off, but till date nothing has been done. Not a single shelterless family has received the double bedroom house. Fed up with the attitude of TRS leaders, they are now getting attracted towards the BJP government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The time has come now to fight the suppressive TRS government and very soon, the BJP will emerge as an alternative to the TRS and provide a democratic government in the coming up days," observed Padmaja Reddy.

Party town president Panduranga Reddy, BJP executive members Balaraju and Vadde Kiran and others attended the programme.
