Mahila Samaikhya sets up paddy procurement centre in Pangal

Wanaparthy: For the first time in Pangal mandal, a new paddy procurement centre was opened by the Mahila Samikhya in Pangal mandal of Wanaparthy district.

Pangal mandal, which is about 15 kilometres from Wanaparthy district, earlier the local farmers used to transport their produce all the way to Wanaparthy for selling it in the agriculture market in the district head quarters for better price. With the State government deciding to open up a new procurement centres at all major mandal headquarters, the Mahila Samikhya has established the procurement centre in Pangal mandal.

This centre will procure the paddy from farmers at MSP and later transport it to godwons or to the mills as per the directions of the Agriculture and Marketing department officials.

G Narender Reddy Market Yard Chairman of Pangal mandal inaugurated the new paddy procurement centre and urged the farmers to utilise this opportunity.

MPP Mamilla Pally Sridhar Reddy, ZPTC Laxmi Chandra Sekhar Nayak, vice chairman Kurmaiah, Single Window chairman B. Balraj and others participated in the programme.
