Make all arrangements for Durajpally Jatara: Minister Jagadish Reddy
Suryapet: Preparations are underway to make arrangements for the most popular biennial Durajpally Lingamanthula Jatara. On Tuesday, Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy held a special review meeting with the officials on the arrangements for the fair, which will commence from February 28, at District Collector's office here.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister Jagadish Reddy directed the officials to make all necessary arrangements for the Jatara in a planned manner. Municipality officials were instructed to take special measures to ensure proper sanitation from time to time in view of coronavirus.
He gave green signal for the installation of CCTV cameras and solar systems on permanent basis.
Officials of respective departments were instructed to coordinate with each other for uninterrupted water and power supply. He advised Mission Bhagiratha officials to keep toilets clean along with continuous water supply. He advised officials that public transport system on national highway should not be disturbed as special buses are going to run to Durajpally for the convenience of devotees.
Minister Jagadish Reddy directed R&B officials to prepare a route map for vehicles to go to the temple and asked them to kept guest house ready located on the hillock. He said devotees should not face any difficulties and told the police department to step up surveillance to avoid any untoward incident during jatara.
District Collector T Vinay Krishna Reddy, Additional Collector Padmaja Rani, ZP CEO Vijayalakshmi, DPO Yadaiah, DM&HO Harshavardhan, RDO Rajendra Kumar, DSP Mohan, Municipal Commissioner Ramanjul Reddy, R&B DE Mahipal Reddy and Panchayati Raj Engineering officials took part in the meeting.
