Khammam: Congress Legislature Party leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka hitting out Congress MLAs who defected to Telangana Rashtra Samithi recently demanded the MLAs to immediately resign from their posts.

Addressing a press meet held in Kusumanchi mandal as part of his Save Democracy rally, Mallu also demanded criminal cases be filed against the defected MLAs who left the Congress party after utilising the services of the cadre for their victory.

He also said these leaders who do not respect the constitutional values and lack the basic moral values should not be allowed to enter the Assembly.

"By switching loyalties after elections they not only cheated the party, but also broke the trust of 93,000 voters who voted in favour of Congress," he said, adding that any party that encourages these kinds of immoral politics would eventually be punished by the people.

Mallu also sought the immediate resignation of Kandala Upender Reddy besides condemning the rumours of merging the Congress Legislature Party with TRS.
