Man caught with 120-kg ganja in Hyderabad

A man was detained by the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) on Friday at Kishanguda flyover for allegedly peddling ganja. Around 120 kgs of the contraband and cash seized from him.

The arrested was identified as Rathod Dasarath (19), a native of Bidar in Karnataka. Meanwhile, four others -- Santhosh Rathod, Parushuram, Devdas and Raju have gone absconding. Dasarath along with the police has planned to sell ganja in Hyderabad and Maharashtra and procured it from a dealer in Khammam, the police said.

Acting on a tip-off, the RGIA police arrested Dasarath while others fled away. The accused earlier sold ganja to customers in Pune and other parts of Maharashtra and earned Rs 1.50 lakh, the police said.
