Man dies after stepping on electric trap in Kothagudem

Kothagudem: A man died after he accidently stepped in an electric trap laid to hunt wild animals at Burgugudem of Annapureddypalle in the district.

According to police, the incident occurred on Tuesday night and the body was on Thursday. The deceased was identified as Azmath Khan. He along with his friends was going through agriculture fields at the village and accidentally stepped in the electric trap near a cotton filed.

His friends went back to the village for help and when they returned, they did not find the body at the spot. The villagers and his family members searched for Khan's body on Tuesday night and on Wednesday.

A team of policemen led by Julurpad Inspector of Police M Nagaraju carried out the search operation on Thursday and found the body in the nearby forest. Inspector Nagaraju said that they filed a FIR. The culprits who laid the trap would be booked soon, he said.
