Man hacked to death on road over extra marital affair in Sircilla

A 30-year-old man was hacked to death on a busy road on Friday at Vemulawada of Rajanna-Sircilla district.

Nagula Ravi, a resident of Subramnayanagar in Vemulawada eloped with a Muslim woman back in 2009 and later they were brought back by the family members. However, the parents of the woman forced her to marry a man of their religion.

Last year, the woman moved to a flat beside Ravi's house after her husband left for the gulf. In the meantime, the duo developed an extra marital affair which is learned by the woman kin. Fumed over their affair, relatives of the woman hacked Ravi to death with a sickle on a road.

The police began an investigation based on the CCTV footage.
