Man held for impregnating daughter's friend in Hyderabad

A 40-year-old man was arrested by Narayanguda police for allegedly impregnating his daughter's friend here in the city.

According to the DCP Vishwa Prasad, Mohammad Sharif, a Haleem maker from Nalgonda moved to Boggulakunta for livelihood. The victim (20) used to visit Sharif's house frequently to meet his daughter.

Sharif raped the victim when she visited his home to meet his daughter while everyone went out.

However, the girl shared her ordeal with her parents who protested at the accused house demanding justice to their daughter. The accused then promised to marry the girl and then shifted his home to Anandnagar in Bandlaguda.

Meanwhile, the parents of the girl forced Sharif to marry their daughter after the victim delivered a baby. On the other hand, Mohammed Chand, brother of Sharif threatened to kill the family following which the victim lodged a complaint with the Falaknuma police.

The police registered a case and arrested Mohammad Sharif and Mohammad Chand.
