Man held for kidnapping minor girl

Hyderabad: Keesara police on Thursday arrested one Y Venkatesh (21) on charge of stalking and kidnapping a 14-year-old minor girl in Bandlaguda village.

According to police, on Tuesday, a complaint was lodged by one K Ramesh of Bandlaguda village stating that his 14 years old daughter, a student of Class IX, went to school on Monday but did not return home.

Based on the complaint, a missing case was registered and during the course of investigation on Wednesday the missing girl was traced at IGK Colony of Cheeryal village in Keesara mandal.

Her parents brought her to Keesara police station. The victim girl stated that four months back she met accused Venkatesh in a function who was working as a painter. He stalked the minor girl since them.

On Monday, Venkatesh came to the girl's house and induced her that they would go somewhere and get marry.

First both went to the accused sister's house at Huzurabad in Karimnagar district; there she advised them to go back. Then the duo went to another sister's house in Maharashtra, but they also advised the same thing.

As there was no other option and knowing that there was a case registered at Keesara police station, on Wednesday both returned to Keesara. Leaving the girl accused fled away.

After recording the victim's statement, the section of law altered and on Thursday on credible information police arrested the accused Venkatesh and sent him to the judicial remand.
