Man held for raping calf in Hyderabad

A man was arrested for raping a two-month-old calf of a cow here at a farm in Basheerbagh. The accused was identified as Mahesh.

It is learned that the man assaulting the calf for the past four days which was noticed by the animal rights activist. The activist alerted their team -- volunteers of Greater Hyderabad Society For The Prevention Of Cruelty To Animals (GHSPCA) and People For Animals (PFA).

On Wednesday night, the team recorded the brutal act of the accused and later alerted the police. The police rushed to the spot and caught the accused along with the volunteers.

The police booked a case under section 377 of IPC and arrested him. Meanwhile, the calf was shifted to the animal shelter of PFA for treatment.
