Man jailed for attacking son with knife

Hyderabad: The II Additional Sessions Judge (ASJ) at LB Nagar court on Tuesday convicted one person and sentenced the accused to five years imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 1,000. The convicted was charged for attacking his son.

According to the Pahadishareef police, the accused Mohammad Qayyum Qureshi (42), is the father of victim Mohammad Khaled Qureshi (18).

Due to some family issues, on March 5, 2018 the accused attacked his son with a butcher knife when the victim was fast asleep.

The accused chopped the victim's right-hand wrist, due to which the injured has to undergo amputation of his right hand.

After completion of investigation a charge sheet was filed in the court.
