Man killed, body burnt by assailants in Wanaparthy

A man was brutally killed and his body was burnt by unknown assailants late on Wednesday at Wanaparthy.

The villagers of Kanimetta of Kothakota Mandal found the burnt body on the National Highway on Thursday morning and informed the police. The police reached the spot and examined the area.

They registered a case and took up an investigation. The body is yet to be identified.

In a similar case, a partially burnt body of a 38-year-old man was found near Moosapet. The deceased was identified as Jonnada Srinivas, a resident of Radhakrishna Nagar in Borabanda.

Locals found the body at a dump yard and informed the police.
